After blowing the minds of the public AND the critics with their first album Déjeuner sur l'herbe, (Blow The Fuse 2004), Les Breastfeeders are back full force with Les Matins de Grands Soirs. Recorded in spring 2006, in Montreal at the Breakglass and Beatbox studios, by Ryan Battistuzi (Malajube, The Hot Springs, Yesterday's Ring), this new album serves justice to the band's sound and urgency.Since the release of their first album, Luc Brien (vocals and guitar), Suzie McLeLove (vocals and guitar), Sunny Duval (guitar), Joe (bass), and Fred Fortin (on drums with the band since 2005), have travelled throughout Quebec for two years, to present their frenetic and contagious shows. Several songs from the album have topped radio charts across the province and two of their videos got heavy airplay on Musiqueplus. They've also "flirted" with the United States, where they played some fifteen dates, along with appearing on important free-form and college radio charts (WMBR, WFMU…). The album will be released in France in 2007 and plans for Asia are in the horizon. Supported by Bonsound (management and booking), Blow The Fuse (label), and their more than solid album, the band is preparing to once again invade radio airwaves and music scenes here and abroad. While we wait for the release of Les Matins de Grands Soirs, Les Breastfeeders have released a preview with their new single "Tout va pour le mieux dans le pire des mondes", which also includes their French version of Les Sinners' "Nice Try", entitled "Pousse-Toi". Released at the Francofolies de Montréal 2006 show, at the Spectrum, and distributed to all radio stations and to printed and online press, the single is already taking over various charts.- Power et Bêtes de Scène winners at the 2004 MIMI's - Winners of the Prix Miroir de l'artiste d'ici at the Festival d'été de Québec 2005 (Show with The New York Dolls, Le Nombre and Les Secrétaires Volantes) - The St-Jean show on the Plaines d'Abraham in 2004 - Francofolies de Montréal 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006! - Remarkable participation on "Salut Joe", the Joe Dassin tribute album, with their version of Bip-Bip (50 000 copies) - Mini-Jupe et Watusi (Déjeuner sur l'herbe) video appears on the Knight of Fuzz dvd compilation (Chesterfield Kings, Fuzztones, Gruesomes, Plasticland...) - Show in Vancouver for the Bandeapart.fm/CBC Radio 3 tour in 2006 |
